BY Dairyland Seed
Adam Stoffel is the Site Leader/Soybean Production Manager and works at Dairyland Seed’s West Bend, WI, headquarters.
As the Site Leader, he oversees and directs all EHS&S requirements and site maintenance in addition to overseeing all supply chain activities at the West Bend site.
“Our customers’ success is in the back of my mind for every company decision I make,” said Adam.
In his role of Soybean Production Manager, he directs and oversees all activities for the West Bend soybean conditioning process including acre contracting, inspections, conditions and quality assurance. Adam collaborates with the Corteva™ Agriscience Supply Chain for soybean related activities including packaging, demand planning, and quality assurance.
His position is challenging and diverse. Adam says “interacting with our 17 soybean growers and the variability in the scope of work throughout the season” is what makes his job rewarding. He enjoys the problem-solving situations and creating a true sense of teamwork among the employees.
Adam joined Dairyland Seed in 2001 and served as the Assistant Soybean Production Manager from 2007 to 2010 when he was advanced to the Soybean Production Manager position. In 2016 he was promoted to Site Leader. Before joining the Dairyland Seed family, Adam handled maintenance on about 400 apartments.
In 2020 Adam was awarded the Corteva Titanium Link Award which is given to one employee in each Multi Channel Seed brand. Nominees are individuals in non-sales-related functions who improve customer experience, deliver value to customers and increase customer face time.
“Because of Adam’s leadership and vision, many departments function at a higher level,” says Kim Mayne, Operations Leader. “His open-door policy to listen to people and help them find a solution, be better informed, and feel comfortable is a great asset to Dairyland Seed.”
Adam grew up on a small dairy farm in Kewaskum, WI, milking 80-85 cows and helping with skid loader work in the free stall barn in addition to field work. Some of his cherished memories include working side-by-side with his dad on the farm and he was especially fascinated with learning how to fix equipment.
In his free time, he travels with his girlfriend, plays golf, and spends time with family and friends enjoying a good IPA or a glass of wine. Upcoming travel plans include a trip to Sedona, AZ, where he plans to hike, relax and check out local wineries. He enjoys the challenge of home improvement projects and has completed work on both the kitchen and bathroom.
His passion for vinyl records has led to exploring thrift stores to add to his current collection consisting of 50-60’s Blues and Folk and 60’s-70’s rock music.
Adam currently resides in Allenton, WI. He has two children, Mason, 16 and Ella, 14.
