5 Quick Questions: Craig Robinson

BY Dairyland Seed

We’re keeping the spotlight on our team of District Sales Managers. In this next 5 Quick Questions feature, we turn our attention to District Sales Manager Craig Robinson.

What area/region do you serve?

I serve a north/south district in western Wisconsin, which includes Clark, Eau Claire, Buffalo, Trempealeau, Jackson, La Crosse, Monroe, Vernon and Crawford counties.

What do you like to do for fun?

I am a father of six and grandfather of three. For fun, I like to watch my kids play hockey, baseball and soccer and spend as much time as I can with my family.

What’s your favorite part about being a District Sales Manager?

I enjoy having the best genetics that allow us to get involved in competitive plots with other companies. I also enjoy scouting crops, my daily interactions with customers on the farm and helping solve problems they may be having.

What product(s) are you really excited about this year?

A number of our corn hybrids balance defense and offense really well. Those are always the most exciting going into the season.

What advice do you have for farmers for success in 2024?

Farming has never been easy. My advice to farmers is to not get down. You were chosen for this very special vocation and the world ceases to exist without you. You have one of the hardest, most stressful jobs in the world, but also one of the most rewarding all around. I’ve never met a farmer that didn’t love what they do, and I get inspired by them. You are the expert on your farm, and nobody knows your farm better than you do. Try some new things. It looks like it could be a dry spring. If so, make sure to get your planter down into the moisture.
