Where are you from?

I grew up in central Michigan.

Where did you go to school and what did you study?

I earned my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in crop and soil sciences from Michigan State University.

What do you love most about being an agronomist?

Being on-farm and working with farmers to improve their operation.

What has changed most about agriculture since you started?

Agricultural technology has been the greatest change. When I started, auto steer was still new. Now we have variable rate, drone scouting, robotic milkers and several options for digital business management.

What’s the one piece of advice you have for farmers in the 2023 season?

Be sure to monitor your fields throughout the season and keep detailed records. This will help prevent unnecessary yield loss and make more informed decisions.

As you are getting ready for the 2023 growing season, the Dairyland Seed Agronomy Team is ready to answer any questions to help you have a safe and productive year.
